Ingredients:
water 1 cup
tamarind 3 tbs ( a small lemon size ball of tamarind soaked in 3 tbsp of water.)
Coconut oil 2 tsp
Pearl onion/Shallots 3 - 4 No.
Green chilly 3 no.
Jaggery 1/2 cup ( boil in 1/2 cup water and then strained it.)
Pinch of salt
Chopped dates 1/2 cup ( seedless)
Method:
1. Pour the coconut oil in a frying pan add the chopped Pearl onion/ Shallots and green chilly to it.
2. Fry it till golden brown.
3. Squeeze & strain the tamarind water into the pan and reduce the flame & stir continuously for about 5 minutes.
4. Add the dissolved and strained jaggery water.
5. Add a pinch of salt and chopped dates.
6. Stir well,until it becomes little bit thick.
7. Enjoy it with Spicy and Hot Malabar Biryani.
